Privacy Policy

Effective September 11, 2026

Pizza Party Scout is a local pizza planning tool and directory for Chicago’s northwest suburbs. This policy explains the information handled when you use this website or contact us.

Party planning and restaurant requests

The calculator uses guest counts, appetite, event type, town, and extras to prepare a plan in your browser. Your order note is kept in your browser’s session storage so it can appear on shop pages during your visit. We do not store calculator entries in our application database.

Restaurant request details remain in the page while you prepare your message. Requests are not emailed automatically. When you send an email, submit a shop’s external form, or call, the shop you select receives the details you choose to share. Its privacy practices and those of your email provider then apply. We do not resell these requests.

Listing claims and sponsorship inquiries

When you prepare a business inquiry, we store the business name, selected listing, town, contact name, email, phone number, selected plan, message, application reference, and submission time. We use them to review claims, correct listings, and discuss sponsorships. Sending the prepared email is a separate step.

Emails sent to pizzapartyscout@gmail.com are handled through Gmail. We use your correspondence to respond and manage the business relationship. Contact details submitted for review are not automatically published. We do not collect payment-card details through the website; payment arrangements are discussed separately.

Basic analytics

We count public page views, shop detail views, and clicks on shop contact options. Our analytics database stores daily totals by page, shop, and action—not names, email addresses, IP addresses, full referrers, query strings, form messages, or visitor identifiers. These counters do not use analytics cookies or fingerprinting. Repeated visits can be counted again.

We use these totals to improve the directory and may share a shop’s aggregate results with that shop or prospective sponsors. Counts are approximate activity measures, not unique people, delivered requests, or confirmed orders. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by skipping these counters.

Hosting, storage, and other providers

Our site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting and application storage. These providers may process network and security information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate and protect the service. Owner sign-in uses ChatGPT and may involve authentication cookies. External restaurant websites, maps, and email services have their own privacy policies.

Retention and your choices

We retain applications and correspondence as needed for listing review, sponsorship administration, dispute handling, and legal obligations. You may email us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted. We may need to verify the request and retain records where necessary for those purposes. There is no automatic deletion schedule for business inquiries at launch.

You can clear your browser’s site data to remove the local party note. You can also avoid submitting optional details. Please do not include payment information, children’s names, medical records, or other sensitive personal information in messages.

Children and updates

This service is intended for adult organizers and business representatives, not for children under 13 to submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can address it. We will update the effective date when this policy changes.
